Congratulations Holy Name, Wayzata!
10/24/2008
Congratulations to the most recent Blue Ribbon School, Holy Name of Jesus in Medina. It was one of only 7 Minnesota Schools and 329 nationally to receive the award from the Department of Education. Holy Name joins other Archdiocesan Catholic schools including Holy Family in St. Louis Park, Our Lady of Grace in Edina — both K-8 schools — and Academy of Holy Angels, Cretin-Derham Hall, Benilde-St. Margaret’s and now-closed Regina high schools. This year, the 103 Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis join the more than 7,375 Catholic schools across the country by celebrating the contributions they make to the community. |
| “When our daughter started out at her Catholic school, we knew it would be a caring, academically challenging environment to nurture her growth and learning. What has surprised us is how everyone at the school--from the principal and teachers, from the parents and the students, to the larger church communities that support that education--everyone works hard to develop the whole child, heart, mind, and soul. It is a community that believes--in education, in our children, and in a greater vision of what they can become”. --Julie, Parent | |
